Jeffrey Myers (violin), Alexander Goldberg (violin), Brian Hong (viola), Rannveig Marta Sarc (viola), Benjamin Hughes (cello), and Pei-An Chao (Cello) are presenting two masterpieces for string ensembles: Mozart's Viola Quintet in G minor and Schoenberg's Verklärte Nacht (Transfigured Night). Brian Hong is a graduate of Juilliard’s Artist Diploma program. As a Fellow of Carnegie Hall’s Ensemble Connect, he performed and taught in a variety of venues in New York City and abroad. Benjamin Hughes is internationally recognized as one of the UK’s most dynamic and versatile cellists. For over 18 years, he has served as Principal Cellist of the BBC Concert Orchestra, captivating audiences across the UK and beyond with his commanding artistry and insightful performances. Both Hong and Hugues joined College Conservatory of Cincinnati’s faculty in 2025. Icelandic-Slovenian violinist, Rannveig Marta Sarc, holds degrees from the Juilliard School. She performed with the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra, Buffalo Philharmonic and served as substitute 3rd concertmaster of the Iceland Symphony Orchestra in 2022. Currently based in Cincinnati, OH, she enjoys a versatile career as a soloist, chamber musician, orchestral player and teacher. Pei-An Chao has been with the Columbus Symphony since 2000. Prior to joining the CSO, Ms. Chao spent two years with the New World Symphony, a training orchestra in Miami, Florida designed to help young musicians pursue orchestral careers. In addition to her CSO commitments, Ms. Chao is an active chamber musician and a dedicated teacher. She is a member of Ucelli, an active cello quartet in central Ohio, and she performs new music with the Columbus Ohio Discovery Ensemble regularly. She was a participant of prestigious festivals such as Waterloo, Tanglewood, Kent/Blossom, Sarasota, Pacific, Spoleto and Colorado.
